A Senior Technician is needed for a major U.S. defense contractor and industrial corporation with core manufacturing concentrations in weapons and military and commercial electronics in the Burnsville, MN area. This role requires an experienced individual to build, troubleshoot, and document complex test hardware solutions for commercial and military avionics sensor products.

responsibilities:
- Build test hardware including cables, boxes, and racks according to engineering drawings.
- Create and review test system designs and documentation to meet customer requirements.
- Update documentation such as drawings, schematics, bills of materials, and classifications.
- Provide markups for new and existing test hardware.
- Troubleshoot issues reported by operations regarding test solutions.
- Perform necessary repairs to cables, boxes, and racks in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with engineers, operators, and technicians.
- Develop skills in solving difficult problems as part of a team.
- Gain experience managing time and working within an agile environment.
- Learn how to assemble full test solutions.
- Experience in building complex cable assemblies, test boxes, and test system assemblies.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics and wire lists.
- Knowledge of tooling, soldering, and crimping standards.
- Familiarity with Minnesota State Electrical codes and statutes.
- strong communication and mentorship skills.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Technical Degree is preferred.
- 3 to 4 years of relevant experience is required.
