An Electrical Engineer is needed for a company that transports, distributes and generates energy, with diversified assets that include a balance between crude oil and natural gas in Duluth, MN or Houston, TX areas. This is an Electrical Engineering role responsible for overseeing and approving the design of Liquids Pump stations (executed by third parties), managing design deliverables to budget/schedule, ensuring regulatory compliance, and liaising with stakeholders.

responsibilities:
- Oversee the design of Liquids Pump station facilities for expansion and maintenance capital projects.
- Ensure third-party engineering firms' execution complies with Company standards, specifications, and industry standards.
- Ensure design execution is managed to the project budget and schedule.
- Liaise with other company functional groups (Project Execution, Operations, Shared Services) to ensure project and company requirements are achieved and incorporated.
- Ensures all pump station facilities are designed according to all regulations, applicable industry codes, and corporate standards.
- Manages the execution of design deliverables by a third-party engineering firm against the project budget and schedule.
- Designs electrical components and interconnects.
- Reviews and approves design deliverables (e.g., drawings, technical reports, material listing sheets).
- Participates in design review meetings with the engineering firm, Project Manager, Operations, and Construction personnel to discuss scope, design, performance, and constructability issues.
- Reviews vendor material quotations (e.g., pump and motor equipment, vessels, generators, pipe).
- Capable of working independently, managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks accordingly.
- Problem solve issues through use of standards, modification of standards and/or previous experience.
- Effectively communicate technical issues and impacts to other technical and non-technical staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of industry experience.
