A Quality Inspector is needed for a multinational power management company in the Irvine, CA area. An experienced Quality Inspector is required to perform detailed dimensional and visual inspections of aerospace components using precision tools, ensuring strict compliance with ASME Y14.5, AS9102 (FAIR), AQL, Nadcap, and FAA standards.

responsibilities:
- Reports to the Quality Supervisor.
- Performs dimensional and visual inspections (receiving, in-process, and outbound) of aerospace component parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.
- Inspects for conformance to manufacturing drawings, quality control specifications, and supplier/customer requirements.
- Reviews and accepts all necessary paperwork and documentation used in product acceptance.
- Produces manual or computer-generated inspection reports to accept or reject products.
- Uses various measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, pin gages, thread plugs/rings, surface plates, and optical comparator.
- Possesses basic understanding of GD&T (geometrical tolerancing and dimensional measurements) per ASME Y14.5.
- Possesses in-depth knowledge of AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) sampling per ANSI/ASQC Z1.4.
- Possesses in-depth knowledge of ATP, ATR, job travelers, C of Cs, and various test reports.
- Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Preferred experience includes inspecting various materials (aluminum, titanium, etc.) and products with coatings (anodizing, plating, passivation).
- Must possess strong work ethic including punctuality, dependability, attention to quality, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have the ability to read, write, communicate effectively in English, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Minimum requirement: High school diploma/GED and
- Five years related experience in mechanical inspection of aerospace products.
- Must have experience working in an FAA environment.
