Our client is a leading architecture, engineering, and interior design firm with locations across Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky, and is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineering Supervisor to join their team in their Grand Rapids office.
The Impact of This Role
This key leadership position will be responsible for the operational excellence and professional development of the Grand Rapids mechanical engineering team. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the team's efficiency, quality, and profitability by:
- Providing Direct Leadership: Offering proactive coaching, mentoring, and motivation to foster a high-performing and engaged team environment.
- Optimizing Workload & Scheduling: Efficiently and effectively managing team workload, project assignments, and scheduling to maximize resource utilization and timely delivery.
- Ensuring Quality & Profitability: Overseeing team members to maintain consistent design quality, adherence to firm standards, and execution of profitable projects.
- Driving Strategy & Process: Collaborating closely with the Department Manager and peer Supervisors to form an effective leadership unit, continuously seeking and implementing process improvement opportunities.
- Client Engagement: Representing the firm in various business development efforts, including client interviews and actively maintaining positive client relationships.
