A Quality Technician is needed for a multinational corporation that produces mirrors as well as a variety of construction, high-performance, and other materials in the Garden Grove, CA area. The Quality Technician performs various visual and dimensional inspection tasks (receiving, in-process, final) on materials and products, reads blueprints, operates precision gauges, manages quality documentation (like NCRs, FAIRS, certifications), performs calibration, and supports overall Quality department activities in a fast-paced, regulated industry environment.

responsibilities:
- Performs various inspection tasks: receiving, in-process, and final (visual and dimensional).
- Reads and interprets blueprint drawings and customer specifications.
- Uses handheld and precision measurement equipment for inspections.
- Performs data entry, scanning, and general document control.
- Performs Product Audits on final packaged products and associated documentation.
- Writes Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Performs Calibration.
- Creates inspection reports and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRS).
- Supports Quality Activities (MRB, Returned Goods Investigations, Audits, Qualifications, Writing Procedures).
- Contacts and works directly with customer source inspection.
- Accesses customer portals.
- Ability to use handheld gauges and other measurement devices safely and appropriately.
- Knowledge of inspection techniques and familiarity with sampling plans.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprint drawings and customer specifications.
- Ability to read, understand, translate, and communicate customer requirements (verbal and written).
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency in MS Word/Excel and good math skills.

- strong work ethic, attention to detail, good attendance, and flexibility for overtime.
- Familiarity with various databases preferred (MRP, Document Control, Access).
- Good vision required (must pass vision exam).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a Quality or Production role performing inspections and using gauges.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a regulated industry (Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Device).
