An Engineering Administrator is needed for a multinational corporation that produces mirrors as well as a variety of construction, high-performance, and other materials in the Orange, CT area. The Engineering Administrator is responsible for the critical management and maintenance of product data-specifically Bills of Materials and Routings within the QAD ERP system, ensuring data accuracy, processing engineering changes (ECNs), and collaborating across departments to optimize manufacturing cost and efficiency.

responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining all data related to product components (BOM) and manufacturing processes (Routing) in the QAD ERP system.
- Ensures accuracy and manages changes to BOMs and Routings.
- Collaborates with Engineering, Accounting, Customer Service, Procurement, and Production teams to minimize errors, reduce delays, and support cost-effective manufacturing.
- Assists and oversees the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, processes, and tooling.
- Utilizes sound technical knowledge of materials, processes, techniques, and products to improve process performance, reduce costs, maximize production, and support new knowledge.
- Assists in managing documents and projects effectively under moderate supervision.
- Demonstrates an open and collaborative approach.
- Seeks out others to enhance knowledge and streamline development/decision making.
- Previous experience in an Engineering Administration capacity within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated technical judgment/accomplishments, project management, and team collaboration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience with ERP systems highly preferred.
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines required.
