Top EPC firm is looking to add a Buyer for the Wallingford, CT office. This role will handle the end-to-end purchasing lifecycle for major utility projects. You will manage the RFP process, evaluate commercial bids, and draft precise purchase agreements while ensuring all technical specifications are met. This role will maintain high-performing supply chain through supplier sourcing, material expediting, and real-time status reporting to ensure on-time project delivery. Some travel between office is needed and must pass an MVR. Project purchasing and Oracle Financial R12 software is preferred

responsibilities:
- Execute the full "Request for Proposal" (RFP) process, including compiling technical specifications, performing commercial bid evaluations, and coordinating technical recommendations to ensure optimal supplier selection.
- Draft and finalize critical procurement documents, purchase orders, and agreements, ensuring all "prime agreement flow downs" and front-end requirements are accurately integrated.
- Identify, vet, and qualify potential vendors to build a reliable supply chain for required goods, materials, and subcontracted services.
- Manage the expediting of supplier submittals and deliveries to ensure that equipment and materials arrive on schedule to support engineering design and construction timelines.
- Maintain and communicate real-time updates through Project Procurement Status reports, material logs, and data entry into online purchasing applications to keep management informed.
