An energy technology company is hiring a Controls Engineer to lead structural analysis and new nuclear plant projects.This Controls Engineer position requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 6+ years of experience to design and manage DCS/BMS technologies and NFPA-compliant control logic for industrial boiler systems. This is a 12 months contract.

responsibilities:
- Support the Clean Combustion business by developing tenders and leading contract execution for utility and industrial boilers.
- Design and manage control system technologies using control theory and mathematical modeling.
- Develop control logic, software algorithms, and hardware configurations to optimize cycle performance and operability.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes and Burner Management Systems (BMS).
- Oversee the integration of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and sensor technologies.
- Generate detailed hour estimates, project schedules, and material lists for cost estimating and bidding.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to provide custom control solutions based on specific customer requirements.
- Author and review technical documentation to ensure compliance with engineering codes and policies.
- Act as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced team members.
- Lead small-scale projects and technical reviews to ensure program alignment.
