An energy technology company is hiring a Mechanical Engineer in Windsor, CT area. This position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 5 to 8 years of experience to lead the design, analysis, and modification of complex mechanical systems and pressure parts while utilizing advanced simulation techniques and project leadership skills to drive cost-effective technical solutions. This is a 12 months contract position.

responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and modify machinery, equipment, and products.
- Coordinate activities internally and with other groups to accomplish objectives.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering and related disciplines.
- Utilize advanced and innovative techniques to achieve cost-effective results.
- Proactively seek and implement initiatives to improve operations and customer satisfaction.
- Design, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, products, or components.
- Develop complex models or simulations using advanced computer programs and analytical techniques.
- Act as a principal investigator or lead a group of engineers to resolve technical problems.
- Prepare related recommendations and formal reports based on investigations.
- Conduct economic studies and prepare specifications or contract proposals.
- Manage licensing and safety documents while obtaining necessary approvals.
- Represent the organization in meetings and conferences.
- Interact directly with customers to resolve significant technical issues and create action plans.
- Provide technical direction and minor administrative guidance to a small team.
- Support the boiler market through pressure part material upgrades and power plant assessments.
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Requires 5 to 8 years of relevant experience or a specific combination of education and accomplishments
