A Structural Design Technician is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Pittsburgh, PA area. This position involves leading small design teams to develop 3D structural models and complete construction plans for industrial facilities using Revit while ensuring interdisciplinary coordination and high quality standards.

responsibilities:
- Develop 3D structural models based on verbal instructions or rough sketches.
- Produce complete sets of structural plans and details.
- Apply department and client standards consistently across all models and documents.
- Take full ownership of assigned scope while meeting schedule and quality requirements.
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of own work with high proficiency.
- Coordinate design efforts with related engineering disciplines.
- Support team members by actively addressing their needs.
- Advance design automation skills and embrace emerging technologies.
- Review models and documents for overall quality and compliance.
- Provide leadership for small packages and guide a small team of designers.
- Coordinate team tasks and balance workloads to ensure deadlines are met.
- Monitor progress and ensure quality standards including clash adjudicated design.
- Lead internal, cross-discipline, and external package reviews.
- Attend meetings to help resolve concerns and solve problems.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment and uphold a culture of care.
- Hold an associate degree in computer-aided drafting or an equivalent field.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of drafting and design experience in the structural field.
- Maintain a minimum of 3 years of experience using Revit.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal leadership and communication skills.
- Offer 7 years of drafting and design experience in the structural field.
- Offer 5 years of experience using Revit.
- Maintain experience with SmartPlant and Tekla software.
- Maintain experience using Navisworks and Bluebeam.
- Possess experience designing traditional steel and concrete structures.
- Possess experience with general industrial facilities, specifically those related to semiconductors.
