A Telecoms Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Houston, TX area. This is a Telecoms Engineer role requiring 8-14 years of experience to lead the design, cost estimation, and implementation of complex network topologies and data center infrastructure.

responsibilities:
- Conduct field investigations and client interviews to define project work scope and develop accurate cost estimates.
- Design, develop, and modify ICT-Telecommunication components and processes using established engineering procedures and standards.
- Create conceptual designs for telecommunications projects with specialized or unique technical requirements.
- Develop ICT network topologies, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), and Data Center infrastructure.
- Design equipment rack layouts and horizontal distribution systems based on the OSI Model.
- Interpret and apply complex regulations, codes, and performance criteria to ensure project compliance.
- Coordinate with client representatives to secure approval for telecommunications design aspects and project deliverables.
- Prepare detailed project estimates, staffing requirements, and execution schedules.
- Communicate complex technical issues and recommended solutions to senior management.
- RCDD certification preferred.
- Knowledge of systems, equipment, applications of design methods, materials, and computers for preparation of analyses and development of project design deliverables within the ICT-Telecommunication discipline.
- Knowledge and understanding of technical and cost issues related to selection of design features within the ICT-Telecommunication discipline.
- Knowledge of developing ICT-Telecommunications Network Topology, DAS, Data Center development, OSI Model, rack development and Horizontal distribution as it relates to ICT-Telecommunications.
- Knowledge in use of industry standard software (CAD, REVIT, Navisworks, Microsoft Suites) is desirable.
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and
- 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
