A Project Controls Coordinator is needed for a company that transports, distributes and generates energy, with diversified assets that include a balance between crude oil and natural gas in the Duluth, MN area. This is a Project Controls Coordinator role focused on managing financial health, forecasting, and audit compliance for engineering projects through rigorous WBS development and variance analysis.

responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to facilitate cost control and asset creation.
- Provide guidance to Engineering Cost Associates on invoice coding and verification against vendor documentation.
- Prepare monthly Project Cost Management (PCMR) tools, financial reports, and comparative capital cost estimates.
- Document and process project change orders while reviewing weekly reports for project controls insights.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to build accurate monthly spend forecasts and financial projections.
- Analyze monthly data in coordination with planners and schedulers to provide technical project support.
- Perform variance analysis on project spending for review by senior management and project leads.
- Coordinate with field cost analysts to prepare and control construction-specific cost reporting.
