A Metrology Operator is needed in the Santa Clara, CA area for an American corporation that supplies equipment, services and software for the manufacture of semiconductor chips for electronics, flat panel displays for computers, smartphones, televisions, and solar products. This role requires semiconductor fab experience to operate and qualify specialized processing equipment while maintaining data integrity and cleanroom protocols in a production or R&D environment.

responsibilities:
- Operate assigned semiconductor process equipment, including Metrology, PVD, CVD, Etch, and Lithography tools.
- Perform basic system qualifications and routine checks on semiconductor hardware.
- Support process demonstrations for both internal and external customers.
- Compile, update, and maintain detailed process data and technical specifications.
- Utilize real-time databases to monitor equipment performance and track production activities.
- Maintain strict adherence to cleanroom protocols and safety standards when working around hazardous materials.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and apply analytical problem-solving to process issues.
- Coordinate with members of various departments to ensure production requirements are met.
- Manage organizational tasks and data input with high attention to detail.
