An Electrical Engineering Technician is needed in the Santa Clara, CA area for an American corporation that supplies equipment, services and software for the manufacture of semiconductor chips for electronics, flat panel displays for computers, smartphones, televisions, and solar products. This hands-on R&D role involves designing, procuring, and troubleshooting electrical schematics, harnesses, and active components for semiconductor tools, often working with minimal documentation in a fast-paced disruptive technology environment.

responsibilities:
- Create and modify system-level electrical specifications, schematics, and block diagrams in a fast-paced R&D environment.
- Design and draft detailed cable and harness drawings for disruptive technology projects.
- Conduct engineering analysis to validate system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with suppliers to specify and procure active components, cables, and harnesses.
- Install and test the functionality of electrical components and cabling systems.
- Troubleshoot complex active component and system issues on semiconductor tools.
- Manage and maintain a localized inventory of necessary electrical components and materials.
- Develop designs and solutions even when working from limited or non-existent documentation.
- Investigate performance data and recommend engineering changes to enhance product functionality.
- Adhere to strict safety standards and maintain a clean, secure, and healthy work environment.
- Document technical findings and report accidents or hazards through proper departmental channels.
