A Project Controls Coordinator is needed for a company that transports, distributes and generates energy, with diversified assets that include a balance between crude oil and natural gas in the Duluth, MN area. The Project Controls Coordinator is responsible for development and implementation of project controls planning, integration of cost and schedule functions as well as quality control oversight of all project controls deliverables for Engineering and Construction capital projects.

responsibilities:
- Leads the development and implementation of project controls planning for engineering and construction capital projects
- Integrates cost and schedule functions to ensure seamless team performance.
- Develops and maintains key deliverables including cost reports, cash flow analysis, and schedule variance reports.
- Establishes and oversees project change management procedures and project controls plans.
- Defines resource requirements and staffing needs for assigned projects.
- Performs quality control audits on all deliverables to ensure completeness and data accuracy.
- Coordinates the collection of documentation for Phase Gate Review meetings within a 6-phase project lifecycle.
- Leads the creation of the overall Project Execution Plan (PEP).
- Provides feedback on the implementation of new tools, processes, and procedures to functional groups.
- Operates effectively within a matrix organizational structure.
- Ability to be effective within a matrix organizational structure.
- Specific knowledge and experience in scheduling and cost process and issues related to pipeline and plant facility projects.
- Familiarity with best management practices for project scheduling and cost control.
- Ability to understand and implement processes and practices for project scheduling and cost control.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and to work with a reasonable level of supervision.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Computer skills using Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Server.
- Bachelors degree in engineering, in another technical discipline or industry.
- With a minimum of seven to ten years of experience.
