A Lead Senior Engineer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Wilton, CT area. This Lead Senior Engineer will manage a multidisciplinary engineering team and oversee high-complexity capital projects and mechanical system reliability for a semiconductor manufacturing facility.

responsibilities:
- Serves as the Facilities Site-Lead Senior Engineer and owner's representative for semiconductor manufacturing capital projects.
- Oversees a multidisciplinary team of 5-6 engineers and designers across mechanical, electrical, and reliability disciplines.
- Manages the full project lifecycle for equipment renewal, including design, procurement, construction, and closeout.
- Sustains facility operations by providing daily engineering support to maintenance teams and vendors.
- Develops technical documentation such as Basis of Design (BOD), Scope of Work (SOW), and construction specifications.
- Conducts QA/QC for mechanical and process systems, including HVAC, high-purity water, chemical distribution, and exhaust.
- Mentors staff and integrates engineering standards into the Certified Reliability Engineering (CRE) roadmap.
- Reviews vendor submittal packages and ensures compliance with ASME, B31.3, IBC, and NFPA codes.
- Navigates active construction sites, performing field walks, system assessments, and subcontractor interactions.
- Solid knowledge and application of the mechanical/process requirements per ASME and ASME B31.3, building codes, fire codes, code compliance (SEMI, NFPA, IBC/IMC, CT) amendments. and other related standards such as ASHRAE.
- Solid knowledge in practice and procedures for specifications and selection of all types of mechanical equipment and components.
- Experience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications.
- Field experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnel.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
- Working knowledge of design-related deliverables such as P&IDs, PFDs, Details, and Equipment Plans, etc.

- Utilizes design software including AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM360 for project delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from ABET Accredited University.
- Fifteen (15) or more years of practical application of process and mechanical and process facilities engineering, inc.luding HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, waste systems, chemical and gas distribution, pure water, and related mechanical-process facilities systems.
