An Electrical Engineer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Wilton, CT area. This role involves designing and managing high-voltage electrical distribution and life safety systems for a semiconductor manufacturing site, ensuring code compliance and seamless project execution through 10+ years of technical expertise.

responsibilities:
- Designs and engineers building electrical systems and power distribution networks up to 13.8kV.
- Develops technical documentation including Basis of Design (BOD), Scope of Work (SOW), and construction specifications.
- Oversees engineering and construction for grounding, lighting, emergency generation, life safety, and fire alarm systems.
- Collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams, client owners, and on-site personnel in a fast-paced environment.
- Manages vendor submittal reviews and interacts directly with subcontractors and construction field personnel.
- Ensures compliance with NFPA 70, 70E, 72, 101, 110, and various building and energy codes.
- Integrates PLC, DCS, and instrumentation and controls into facility designs.
- Utilizes electrical modeling software such as SKM Power Tools, ETap, or EasyPower.
- Working knowledge of Instrumentation & Controls design-related deliverables such as P&IDs, I/O lists, wiring diagrams, control narratives, etc.
- Experience with control panel design, including UL508A requirements.
- Proficient working knowledge of electrical modeling software such as SKM Power Tools (PTW), ETap, EasyPower.
- Proficient working knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, Revit or BIM360.

- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
- Passionate about buildings and construction.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar from an ABET accredited university.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems, including distribution to end use.
- 5 years experience as a facility engineer.
- EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
