A Quality Inspector is needed for a multinational power management company in the Irvine, CA area. This role will use precision tools to verify complex parts, manage regulatory documentation (FAA/Nadcap), and ensure all products meet strict military and commercial aviation standards.

responsibilities:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on aerospace components and assemblies for receiving, in-process, and outbound stages.
- Verify conformance to manufacturing drawings, quality control specifications, and specific customer requirements.
- Review and approve technical paperwork and documentation required for product acceptance.
- Generate manual or computer-based inspection reports to document the acceptance or rejection of products.
- Operate precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, pin gages, thread plugs, and optical comparators.
- Apply geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles per ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Utilize AQL sampling methods based on internal procedures or ANSI/ASQC Z1.4 standards.
- Execute First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in strict accordance with AS9102.
- Interpret complex technical documents such as ATPs, ATRs, job travelers, and chemical/physical analysis reports.
- Ensure compliance with FAA, DFAR, and Nadcap regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to complete routine documentation.
- Ability to speak clearly and effectively with the Manager/Supervisor, coworkers, customers, suppliers, etc.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), internet, etc.
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Five years minimum related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in mechanical inspection of aerospace products.
