responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading the design and development engineering efforts across various programs, managing the project lifecycle from concept initiation to product finalization.
- Direct and manage failure analysis and root cause problem-solving efforts in support of assigned program teams.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement efficient, cost-effective manufacturing and assembly processes in parallel with product development.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of 3D engineering models, BOMs, and drawings to support Sample, Prototype, and Pilot product phases.
- Dimension and calculate specifications for all prototype and production drawings, including both flat pattern and formed component views.
- Establish, lead, and participate in the formal Design Review process for all new product introductions.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive, data-driven technical presentations and project status updates for timely communication with staff and senior management.
- Bachelor's or Associate Degree in mechanical engineering or related field is required.
- 6+ years of product development engineering experience is needed.
- Must be proficient with using Solidworks or Creo for 2D and 3D design.
- Sheet metal Industry experience is required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
