Leading construction firm in Minnesota is looking to add Project Controls specialists to the team. This is an onsite role with minimal travel and can sit in either Duluth or Bloomington. Will serve as the backbone of project execution, ensuring that engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects remain on track, on budget, and highly efficient. In this role, you won't just track data-you'll influence the outcome of complex projects by providing the insights and foresight our leadership team relies on. Oracle Primavera P6 is highly preferred.

responsibilities:
- Integrated Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain complex project schedules (WBS) using Critical Path Method (CPM), logic ties, and resource loading to ensure timely execution.
- Comprehensive Cost Management: Manage cost reporting, cash flow forecasting, and Earned Value Management (EVM), including the approval of purchase orders and subcontract coding.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor project health by analyzing logs and progress curves, performing "what-if" scenarios, and presenting detailed reports to the Project Management and Accounting teams.
- Change Control & Compliance: Review upstream and downstream change orders, document forecast adjustments, and support external audits to ensure financial and contractual accuracy.
- Quality Assurance & Field Validation: Perform field audits, material takeoffs, and quality inspections on all project control deliverables to validate the accuracy of reporting and progress measurement.
