A Staff Engineering Technician is needed for a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company. As a senior-level technical lead with at least 5 years of experience and an engineering technology degree, will use advanced Civil 3D skills to design grading and drainage plans for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects while ensuring compliance with technical codes and quality standards.

responsibilities:
- Performs advanced engineering functions to create and modify technical deliverables using electronic applications and document control processes.
- Develops comprehensive site drainage, grading, and utility plans specifically for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
- Utilizes advanced Autodesk Civil 3D skills to create and manage proposed grading surfaces and detailed plan developments.
- Supports engineering teams by applying foundational principles and established design practices to moderately complex concepts.
- Operates as a lead technician, providing technical guidance and quality oversight to other professionals and team members.
- Manages technical documentation and 3D modeling within CAD and BIM environments to ensure project consistency.
- Performs complex design calculations, develops detailed material quantities, and prepares cost estimates.
- Ensures all deliverables comply with specific industry codes, standards, and internal quality programs.
- Reviews design inputs and the work of peers to maintain high accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
- Advanced Civil 3D experience is required with use of proposed grading surfaces and plan development.
- May review project requirements and accurately determine the correct format and contents of the required deliverables.
- Performs design calculations, detailed material quantities and estimates, and records.
- May review the deliverables of others.
- May define work assignments and maintain schedules.
- May program control systems or participate in other plant start-up activities associated with a specialized area of expertise.
- Diploma or Certificate required.
- Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related
- Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
- Technology preferred.
