A E&C Engineer is needed for a utility holding company in the Minneapolis, MN area. This position requires an experienced engineer to independently apply technical principles to complex projects, manage documentation and budgets, and provide cross-functional leadership under general supervision while maintaining strong internal and external communications.

responsibilities:
- Applies technical standards to assignments involving complex features or conflicting design requirements.
- Develops technical documentation including designs, testing protocols, calculations, and reports.
- Assists with the development of procedures requiring specialized technical proficiency.
- Provides ongoing technical support for operations, maintenance, diagnostics, and regulatory activities.
- Offers field engineering oversight for commissioning, testing, and inspections.
- Coordinates project phases such as research, equipment selection, procurement, and installation.
- Supports the bid and evaluation process by preparing documents and technical proposal reviews.
- Partners with supply chain and legal departments to follow established procurement processes.
- Communicates complex information across various formats to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assigns tasks and coordinates work for interns, drafters, technicians, and craft personnel.
- Mentors less experienced engineers and commits to continuous self-development.
- Manages project financials including budgeting, estimating, forecasting, and work orders.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum or recognized equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Proven proficiency in a specific engineering specialty and familiarity with related fields.
- Possession of unique technical skills and core competencies defined by the organization.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification is strongly preferred.
- Degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
- Experience in greenfield, brownfield, or landfill project management is preferred.
