A Senior Electrical Engineer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Fort Worth, TX area. This role is responsible for driving business growth and heading an engineering team to design large-scale, sustainable power utility and renewable energy infrastructure.

responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup and performance verification of fiber optic testing systems.
- Configure product samples for specific environmental and mechanical testing protocols.
- Conduct optical measurements utilizing both manual and automated test systems.
- Program and manage the operation of environmental chambers and specialized test equipment.
- Monitor, track, and report the real-time progress of ongoing testing cycles.
- Document all component testing results strictly following established procedures.
- Perform basic data analysis and draft formal test reports in required formats.
- Support failure mode analysis and perform basic technical troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory work environment.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) for data entry and reporting.
- Handle very small, delicate fiber optic parts with precision and care.
- Work independently as a self-starter while maintaining strong interpersonal team connections.
- Complete technical assignments accurately within predefined schedules.
- Power distribution systems and microgrids.
- Power generation projects ex.ceeding 10MW capacity.
- HV or MV Substations.
- Renewable energy projects including wind, solar, hydro, geothermal and other technologies.
- Energy storage systems.
- Power system modeling experience using SKM Power Tools, ETAP or similar modeling software.
- Protection and Control, SCADA or power system automation.
- Campus utility master planning or decarbonization/climate response planning.
- Cogeneration or combined heat and power systems.
- Thermal utility plants and distribution systems (steam, hot water, chilled water).
- Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering discipline
- At least 10 years of engineering design and/or consulting experience.
