Seeking and experienced Mechanical Integrity Engineer, who will serve as the technical guardian of the facility's physical assets. This role ensures that all chemical storage and transfer systems -- tanks, pipes, and vessels -- remain in peak condition and 100% compliant with federal safety regulations to prevent catastrophic failures and environmental incidents.

responsibilities:
- Owns the Mechanical Integrity (MI) program for tanks, pressure vessels, and piping. Ensures all inspections meet API 653, 510, and 570 codes and governmental regulations (OSHA/EPA/TCEQ)
- Manages the equipment hierarchy within SAP and Risk-Based Mechanical Integrity (RBMI) software to schedule preventative and predictive maintenance, reducing unplanned downtime
- Directly oversees up to 10 third-party contractors, auditing their work for quality and safety compliance while ensuring they hold the necessary technical certifications
- Identifies engineering gaps in existing systems and implements countermeasures or "Root Cause Analysis" (RCA) to minimize equipment malfunctions and breakdowns
- Managers a $1M budget for maintenance activities and acts as a key technical resource for Management of Change (MOC) and Haz-op studies
- Develops and maintains specialized coating and insulation programs to protect equipment from environmental corrosion and themal loss
