A Senior Pipe Support Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Richland, WA area. This position will lead a design team in developing complex 3D piping layouts and structural supports for industrial facilities.

responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise PD&P designers and drafters in creating 2D layouts and detailed 3D CAD models.
- Locate and design pipe supports for various systems and perform necessary structural calculations.
- Develop complex 3D equipment layouts and piping designs with minimal supervision.
- Ensure all designs strictly comply with industry standards and codes, specifically AISC and ASME B31.3.
- Prepare material requisitions and evaluate technical bids for piping hardware and components.
- Monitor and check the work of others to ensure quality, safety, and construction economy.
- Participate in constructability reviews to identify and resolve field installation issues.
- Establish design and drafting procedures to standardize the team's engineering effort.
- Conduct jobsite visits to interpret drawings and resolve complex on-site technical problems.
- Review and manage PD&P design scope changes for project management.
- Prepare progress reports to track the status of work against project timelines.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Networks and connects with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience. or
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
