Electrical Estimator needed for a direct hire role in the Greater Boston Area. The right person for this role will have expertise in the preconstruction phase for commercial projects. The Electrical Estimator plays a major part in developing detailed cost estimates and proposals for electrial scopes within MEP projects.
Qualified candidates will have 4+ years of electrical estimating experience and hold a Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related field. This individual will also need to be proficent in Bluebeam and ConEst.

responsibilities:
- Review architectural, structural and MEP drawings and specifications to fully understand project requirements
- Develop conceptual, schematic and detailed estimates at various stages of design projects
- Analyze blueprints, technical documents and addenda to identify scope gaps, risks, and opportunities
- Work closely with plumbing, HVAC and fire protection estimating teams to ensure complete and coordinated proposals
- Assist project teams with cost breakdowns and budgets
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers and field personnel to validate assumptions, schedules and constructibility
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with electrical subcontractors and suppliers to ensure reliable pricing and availability
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Min. 4 years experience in electrical estimating, mechanical or MEP experience preferred
- Proficient in Bluebeam and ConEst
- Proven ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical drawings, blueprints and project specifications
- Well-developed mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, codes, materials and installation practices
