Director of Program Management needed in Houston TX. In this role, the Director of Program Management will work closely with leadership to develop and implement strategic innitiatives across a fast growing organization. Projects will include ERP implementations, Logistics, Warehousing and customer facing dashboards. Ideal candidates will have at least 8 years of relevant experience managing projects internally and outsources and have at least 5 years of experience in distribution.

responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, scoping, and delivery of enterprise strategic initiatives
- Own a portfolio of cross-functional initiatives, including IT, systems, and operational projects
- Ensure projects are properly scoped, resourced, sequenced, and governed
- Drive initiatives from approval through delivery and sustained adoption
- Establish and enforce project management standards, tools, and methodologies
- Define clear intake, prioritization, and approval processes for strategic work
- Set expectations for charters, scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and success metrics
- Implement consistent executive reporting, cadence, and escalation
- Oversee complex, IT-heavy initiatives such as ERP, core platform, and enterprise system programs
- Partner closely with IT, Finance, Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain
- Manage interdependencies across systems, vendors, and internal teams
- Identify and mitigate risks that threaten delivery, cost, or adoption
- Hold business owners, functional leaders, and vendors accountable fo commitments
- Drive clarity around ownership, decision rights, and tradeoffs
- Step in to stabilize projects that are off-track or poorly defined
- Ensure initiatives deliver planned and measurable operational and financial outcomes
- Lead structured change management and communication efforts
- Ensure solutions are adopted and embedded into daily operations
- Track benefits realization post-implementation
- Strategic initiatives are clearly scoped before work begins
- Projects delivered on time, on scope, and with fewer surprises
- Leadership has visibility into progress, risks, and tradeoffs
- Large enterprise programs (ERP, core platforms, system integrations) move forward with discipline
- The organization develops confidence in its ability to execute complex change
