responsibilities:
- Enforce MSHA compliance and safety standards by conducting regular site examinations and ensuring all electrical systems meet industry design specifications
- Collaborate with electricians and contractors to ensure all equipment service aligns with site standards
- Manage power distribution systems by diagnosing and coordinating repairs for various equipment, including switchgear and transformers
- Optimize equipment reliability through the development of enhanced preventative maintenance and Root Cause Failure Analysis
- Provide technical oversight for capital projects by reviewing electrical documentation, including single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and protection system coordination studies
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, operations, and external suppliers to ensure new installations are integrated and compliant with site specifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
- 5+ years experience in Electrical Engineering
- 12kV infrastructure
- Power distribution systems in heavy industrial, chemical or data center setting
- Rockwell Automation
