A Project Controls Coordinator is needed for a company that transports, distributes and generates energy, with diversified assets that include a balance between crude oil and natural gas in the Duluth, MN area. This role manages cost and schedule integration for mid-level capital projects, ensuring financial accuracy, progress reporting, and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

responsibilities:
- Develops and implements project controls planning and integrates cost and schedule functions.
- Provides quality control oversight for all project deliverables on engineering and construction capital projects.
- Manages projects valued up to $25 million per year with durations typically under one year.
- Leads the coordination and development of the comprehensive Project Execution Plan.
- Creates and maintains cost reports, cash flow reports, and detailed variance analyses.
- Manages schedule reporting and performs schedule variance analysis to track project health.
- Establishes and oversees the Project Change Management Procedure and Project Controls Plan.
- Produces monthly progress reports and ensures a seamless integration of cost and scheduling roles.
- Defines and assigns the project controls resource requirements needed for specific projects.
- Audits all deliverables for accuracy and completeness prior to submission.
- Coordinates the collection of mandatory deliverables for Phase Gate Review meetings.
- Advises functional groups on the effectiveness of new tools, processes, and procedures based on field experience.
- Ability to be effective within a matrix organizational structure.
- Specific knowledge and experience in scheduling and cost process and issues related to pipeline and plant facility projects.
- Familiarity with best management practices for project scheduling and cost control.
- Ability to understand and implement processes and practices for project scheduling and cost control.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and to work with a reasonable level of supervision.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Computer skills using Microsoft Office products.
- specifically Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Serve.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance.
- Specific related experience with a minimum of four to five.
- Will consider candidates with 0-3 years of experience.
