An E and C Engineer is needed for a utility holding company in the Denver, CO area. This position manages the full lifecycle of multiple emergent and capital power plant projects, focusing on project management, contractor oversight, and cross-functional collaboration rather than internal design.

responsibilities:
- Manages a diverse portfolio of up to 20 concurrent emergent and base capital projects at regional power plants.
- Develops project scopes, technical specifications, and justifications for submission through the company's capital request process.
- Oversees external contractors and vendors during field execution to ensure project milestones are met.
- Collaborates daily with operations and reliability engineering teams to identify system needs and plan future work.
- Facilitates administrative project requirements including equipment quoting, bidding processes, and material delivery coordination.
- Interfaces with external consulting engineering firms to outsource technical design services as required.
- Participates in daily morning planning meetings (POD) to align on critical daily tasks and plant priorities.
- Utilizes ProjectWise to locate and manage existing technical drawings and project documentation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
- Excel spreadsheets.
- strong teamwork/interpersonal skills are required to be able to be successful in this role and build relationships.
