An Engineering Technician is needed for a leader in power and automation technologies in the New Berlin, WI area. This role executes laboratory testing, prototype assembly, and global safety certifications (UL/CSA/IEC) for electrical products, requiring an engineering degree and 2-5 years of experience in circuit troubleshooting and data analysis.

responsibilities:
- Coordinate and perform laboratory activities to ensure compliance with design verification and industry standards.
- Support design engineers with component evaluation, prototype assembly, and product verification testing.
- Execute product tests according to specifications and analyze results to confirm performance compliance.
- Prepare and maintain accurate test reports, data records, and technical documentation.
- Design, build, and maintain mechanical and electrical test setups and fixtures.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuits using schematic diagrams and engineering guidance.
- Perform precision soldering of surface-mount components down to 0402 package sizes.
- Operate laboratory instrumentation including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and LabVIEW-based systems.
- Hands-on experience performing UL, CSA, and IEC compliance testing, particularly for drive (VFD) products.
- Familiarity with company products a plus.
- Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
- Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience; or
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
