Leading electronics repair and supply chain management company in the NW Houston area is in search of a skilled Hardware Design Engineer to join their team. This position will require a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering along with 1-5 years of experience in hardware test, manufacturing, or repair engineering. Candidates will need experience developing, tuning, and maintaining machine and test profiles. Candidates who have Flying Probe test systems experience are highly encouraged to apply!

responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, debugging, and optimization of Flying Probe test programs for laptop and tablet platforms
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including test readiness, validation, and ramp support
- Analyze test and field failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance and calibration schedules for test equipment
- Create and update repair plans, work instructions, procedures, and troubleshooting documentation
- Provide technical support to engineering technicians and computer service operations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing practices
- Track, analyze, and report internal and external KPIs; lead actions to improve yield, test coverage, and cycle time
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects across engineering, quality, and operations teams
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and applicable quality management systems
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and communicate technical status, risks, and progress effectively
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational and business needs
