responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team, providing guidance to Engineers, Designers, and Technicians to resolve technical issues in existing products and systems.
- Own the maintenance, improvement, and reliability of existing products. Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for field issues.
- Manage, execute, and refine Engineering Change Processes and documentation to support product lifecycle management.
- Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting and problem-solving, especially in mechanical systems involving combustion or refrigeration.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Drive all sustaining activities and identify opportunities for improvement, including supporting sustaining NPD efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME) or Electrical Engineering (EE) or equivalent field.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, including engineering management / leadership experience (line management, team building, conflict resolution).
- strong People Management skills and experience.
- Expertise in Sustaining Engineering and managing Engineering Change Processes.
- Must have a strong technical aptitude and proven experience troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical systems in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD tools and engineering documentation systems.
- Experience in a sustaining or product support role.
- Experience with control systems (Embedded controllers, PLC's, etc.).
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., UL, ASHRAE, AHRI, ANSI).
- Experience in HVAC, industrial equipment, or energy systems.
