An EHS Analyst is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, and more, in the Carpinteria, CA area. This role oversees safety and environmental compliance focusing on risk assessment, regulatory adherence, and fostering a zero-injury culture through program development and incident analysis.

responsibilities:
- Guide and build EHS programs to establish a zero injury and zero environmental defect culture.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations to prevent hazards and injuries.
- Serve as the primary liaison between facility management and the Corporate EHS Department.
- Develop and implement standardized safety policies, procedures, and EHS management system tools.
- Facilitate the site safety committee by engaging representatives from every laboratory on campus.
- Track, report, and conduct root cause analysis for workplace injuries, illnesses, and environmental incidents.
- Manage corrective action plans and assign tasks to responsible parties to ensure resolution.
- Improve Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Risk Assessment processes for routine and non-routine tasks.
- Administer safety programs including Hazard Communication, Machine Guarding, Electrical Safety, and Contractor Safety.
- Apply the Hierarchy of Controls to workplace inspections, equipment assessments, and industrial hygiene surveys.
- Behavioral Based Safety experience.
- Knowledge of environmental permitting.
- Working knowledge of industrial ergonomics.
- Ability to work with and mange safety initiatives across several BU's and management teams.
- Written and verbal communication skills to facilitate communication with Business Unit Management, laboratory staff, and shop floor personnel including ability to prepare and deliver presentations.
- Experience managing electrical and chemical safety programs.
- Bachelor's degree in safety science or other related technical field and
- 3-5 years of EH&S working experience or a combination of education and experience is preferred.
