A Innovation Project Manager is needed in the Clark, NJ (hybrid) area for one of the world's largest cosmetics company, with activities spanning skin care, sun protection, make-up, perfume, hair care and hair color. This role leads cross-functional Research & Innovation teams in the beauty industry, focusing on implementing streamlined project methodologies, managing risks, and driving organizational change to accelerate the delivery of groundbreaking products.

responsibilities:
- Lead Research & Innovation teams through the end-to-end delivery of complex beauty projects.
- Implement and champion the Project Mode methodology to streamline collaboration and accelerate timelines.
- Define project scope, work plans, and resource requirements with innovation partners and stakeholders.
- Create and manage detailed project schedules while identifying key milestones and reporting on costs.
- Track progress and proactively communicate alerts and status updates to key stakeholders.
- Drive scenario planning and prepare comprehensive data for governance and senior management reviews.
- Manage cross-functional teams by facilitating workshops, brainstorming sessions, and team meetings.
- Serve as the guarantor of risk management by identifying, assessing, and mitigating project threats.
- Act as an agent of change by coaching and training teams on new project management cultures.
- Ensure projects meet all readiness requirements for successful milestone transitions and innovation reviews.
- Support large-scale projects within multi-disciplinary teams using a science or engineering background.
- Push for timely decision-making and express alternative viewpoints to ensure project success.
- Experience in the personal care / cosmetic industry preferred.
- strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable expressing a contrary point of view, able to push for timely decisions.
- Empathy and EQ.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a science or engineering field.
- Minimum of 0-3 years of business experience in Project Management supporting complex or large-scale projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) is desirable.
