responsibilities:
- Develop and execute local sourcing strategies to gain competitive advantages and drive supplier initiatives.
- Manage supplier selection, consolidation, and development to optimize performance.
- Take full accountability for purchasing and meeting specific cost deflation targets.
- Conduct detailed cost analyses of components and manufacturing processes for high-quality, low-cost solutions.
- Monitor and improve supplier quality and delivery performance to meet business demands.
- Collaborate with local stakeholders to ensure materials and services align with operational needs.
- Resolve process escalations related to delivery, quality, invoicing, and database management.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and create risk mitigation plans.
- Lead cross-functional teams including technical SMEs, legal, and supply chain personnel.
- Communicate and negotiate commercial and contractual issues with internal and external partners.
- Manage multiple simultaneous deadlines and urgent issues on short notice.
- Proven communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills, with influencing and persuasive talents.
- In depth knowledge of RFx development and execution, contraction preparation and contract management.
- Ability to perform objective analysis and make sound commercial and sourcing decisions.
- strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade.
- University degree in in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Minimum (7) seven or more years of progressively responsible and related experience in the Supply Chain Management or sourcing.
- Additional related experience may be required in lieu of a university degree.
