A Manufacturing Technician is needed for a major U.S. defense contractor and industrial corporation with core manufacturing concentrations in weapons and military and commercial electronics in the Chula Vista, CA area. This role is focused on engineering change management, tool design, and cross-departmental coordination to optimize production quality and supply chain efficiency for aerospace components.

responsibilities:
- Incorporate engineering changes to support manufacturing and purchasing activities.
- Provide planning, procurement, and floor support for the Chula Vista Service Center.
- Innovate and design new tools to enhance existing manufacturing processes.
- Review and commit to airline customer orders and formal requests for quotes.
- Author official Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
- Generate tool orders for the creation, alteration, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
- Resolve supplier and procurement issues regarding engineering, materials, and tooling for flight items.
- Continuously improve manufacturing workflows and operational efficiency.
- Develop specialized tools to increase product quality and reduce production cycle times.
