A Packaging Engineer is needed in the Clark, NJ area for one of the world's largest cosmetics company, with activities spanning skin care, sun protection, make-up, perfume, hair care and hair color. This role is focused on leading high-stakes cosmetic packaging launches, plant transfers, and transversal projects through expert cross-functional coordination and technical risk management.

responsibilities:
- Manage transversal product development projects, including strategic catalog updates, plant transfers, and new product launches.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project timelines, identifying key milestones and mitigating risks to ensure on-time delivery.
- Lead end-to-end product launches from conception to completion with minimal managerial oversight.
- Guide marketing teams on product briefs to ensure designs align with agility, profitability, and sustainability goals.
- Facilitate project review meetings and drive the resolution of roadblocks through effective risk escalation to leadership.
- Analyze launch viability regarding cost, COGS, technical feasibility, and sustainable packaging initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional risk assessments with Operations and R&I to establish and track technical backup plans.
- Act as the primary communication link between Divisional and Industrial teams to ensure operational alignment.
- Manage all aspects of the Quality Control Process (QCP) and oversee documentation for global market compliance.
- Support value analysis and feasibility costing to assist team members in making cost-effective aesthetic and technical choices.
- Technical packaging experience is a plus.
- Must be collaborative and able to create strong relationships with all cross-functional teams.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills to be able to influence effectively with all levels of our organization internally and externally.

- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Operations or a related technical discipline is required.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in package/product development and project management, preferably in cosmetics, consumer goods, or related field is required.
