An energy technology company is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead structural analysis and new nuclear plant projects. This role requires a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and 6+ years of experience to perform gas turbine rotor finite element analysis using Ansys, Siemens NX, and Python automation within a highly collaborative team. This is a 12 months contract.

responsibilities:
- Execute 2D and 3D finite element analyses (FEA) on gas turbine rotors using Ansys.
- Conduct post-processing tasks including LCF crack initiation and propagation studies.
- Evaluate bolted joint behavior and structural strength.
- Manage and retrieve CAD models using PLM systems.
- Modify and prepare CAD models within Siemens NX.
- Document technical analytical results and summarize findings.
- Automate repetitive engineering tasks using Python.
- Analyze and evaluate mechanical defects through simulation.
- Present project status and technical updates in routine meetings.
