A Facilities Manager is needed for a company that produces electronics and HVAC equipment for buildings in the Miami, FL area. responsibilities:
- Maintain a customer service mindset and act as the primary client-level liaison for operational and financial matters.
- Communicate operational responsiblities to both English and Spanish speaking members of the workforce.
- Prepare and deliver accurate monthly operational and financial reports with attention to detail.
- Develop, manage, and track operating budgets and financial forecasts.
- Align performance with contractual and organizational financial objectives.
- Delegate tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain team accountability.
- Respond to emergencies and take off-hour calls when necessary.
- Act as a role model, mentor, and trusted resource to staff and stakeholders.
- Comprehend complex contract terms and ensure alignment with operational policies.
- Manage subcontractors and vendor relationships including performance monitoring and cost control.
- Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) effectively.
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, and completeness of data in the CMMS.
- Administer documentation for extension requests, relief events, and repair justifications.
- Review and implement operational procedures and best practices.
- Provide oversight for both daily operations and long-term planning.
- Manage staff including hiring, promotions, recognition, and performance improvement plans.
- Provide technical and managerial guidance to the operations team.
- Read and interpret blueprints and as-built drawings.
- Possess a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience.
- Have 10 or more years of progressive responsibility in facilities management.
- Maintain a minimum of 10 years of management and leadership experience.
- Hold a BOMA or IFMA designation such as RPA or CFM.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and cross-functional working groups.
- Lead customer and stakeholder meetings successfully.
- Manage operations in compliance with technical and contractual requirements.
- Develop a team culture focused on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
- Manage preventive maintenance and repairs for MEP, fire alarm, security, and building automation systems.
- Apply working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance trades.
- Support mission-critical or high-availability facilities.
- Apply knowledge of OSHA codes, regulations, and safety compliance requirements.
