Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Controller to lead their financial operations and serve as the critical bridge between financial reporting and shop-floor operations. In this role, you will manage a dedicated team of four direct reports and partner closely with operational teams to determine material costs and ensure margin protection. The successful candidate will be an Excel expert with a BA/BS degree and a proven manufacturing background, capable of translating factory data into technical financial accuracy.

responsibilities:
- Manage the company's financial plans and policies.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
- Determine manufacturing material costs and estimates; collaborate with Engineering and Procurement to ensure accurate product costing, Bill of Materials (BOM) integrity, and margin protection.
- Prepare internal financial reports and use advanced data analysis to explain variances between actual production results (specifically labor and material efficiencies) and budgeted/forecasted figures.
- Maintain all fiscal records and relationships with financial institutions.
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Direct Report team who performs the Accounting and Payroll tasks; prioritize and assign tasks to ensure resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related major.
- Minimum of 8 years in fiscal management; minimum of 5 years directly leading a team.
- strong proficiency with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment is required (specifically experience with WIP, Labor, and Overhead absorption).
- Advanced Excel skills are essential (candidate must be proficient with complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling).
- Operation in an ERP environment required; specific experience with Epicor Kinetic is strongly preferred.
- Results-driven personality with the ability to work diplomatically across all levels, from the production floor to the executive office.
