A Process Engineer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Appleton, WI area. This role involves leading the design, coordination, and quality review of Pulp and Paper technology projects while mentoring junior staff and supporting field construction.

responsibilities:
- Execute conceptual and detailed engineering designs specifically for Pulp and Paper Technologies.
- Apply industry best practices to solve complex technical and facility engineering problems.
- Coordinate with project management, clients, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project alignment.
- Support field construction through submittal reviews, RFI responses, and site walks.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews on design work produced by other team members.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers on core engineering principles.
- Assist in the development of project proposals, budgets, and schedules for process-specific tasks.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in either a plant, facility, or consulting engineering capacity.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Paper Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in engineering design is preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in engineering design as a facilities/plant engineer or as a consulting engineer.
