An energy technology company is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead structural analysis and new nuclear plant projects. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of experience to design and validate complex systems using Autodesk Inventor for detailed modeling, structural analysis of mass and stiffness, and industry-standard compliance. This is a 10 months contract.

responsibilities:
- Designs mechanical components and systems while ensuring they meet all technical specifications and standards.
- Utilizes Autodesk Inventor to create detailed engineering drawings and define component dimensions, features, and interfaces.
- Collaborates closely with other engineers and project managers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conducts formal design reviews and performs validation tests to confirm performance.
- Interprets complex engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Ensures strict compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and utilize inventor to determine component dimensions, detailed features, interfaces, masses, stiffnesses, etc.
- Applies strong analytical and problem-solving skills to technical challenges.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering discipline from an accredited college or University.
- 5+ year experience with mechanical design engineering.
