responsibilities:
In this role, you will support the delivery of diverse transportation projects by assisting with design, analysis, and field operations. Primary responsibilities include:
- Assisting with drafting, fieldwork, and the preparation of engineering plans and technical reports.
- Developing cost estimates for traffic engineering and transportation planning projects.
- Supporting the design of traffic signals, signing, pavement delineation, and roadway lighting.
- Contributing to traffic control plans, ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) design, and traffic impact studies.
- Collaborating on projects for Caltrans and various local agencies to ensure regulatory compliance.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Technical knowledge of traffic engineering design principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
- Written and oral communication skills for report preparation and team collaboration.
- Possession of an E.I.T. certificate (or being in the process of obtaining one) is highly desirable.
