Seeking an Automation Engineer for a high growth manufacturing client in the Troy, OH area.
The Automation Engineer would be responsible for:
- Hands-On Systems Engineering: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of machine electronics, from initial design and commissioning to complex troubleshooting.
- Diverse Technical Scope: Manage high-performance systems including AC/DC drives, PLCs, and advanced motion control.
- Integrated Infrastructure: Deploy and maintain robust sensor networks and general electrical systems to ensure seamless machine operation.

responsibilities:
- Design & Drafting: Create comprehensive electrical designs, schematics, and technical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Requirements Integration: Interpret mechanical design specs and process workflows to determine specific electrical requirements.
- Component Sourcing: Research and select supplier products for assembly components to ensure high-quality builds.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed Electrical Bills of Materials (BOM).
- System Configuration: Power up electrical systems and configure hardware to meet specific application requirements.
- Commissioning: Partner with electrical technicians to bring systems online and ensure full operational readiness.
- Process Optimization: Apply a deep understanding of automation's impact to enhance overall process efficiency and safety.
