R&D Test Technician for immediate long term contract opportunity for a growing company in the Billerica, MA area.
Seeking a highly motivated and resourceful Technician for a hands-on position to support the R&D lab. The right person contributes to various tests and duties aligned with the goal of optimizing products for maximum consumer acceptance through difference and affective testing, along with descriptive analysis.
This person will have a proven desire to learn and succeed and be able to communicate and share ideas with internal teams. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office tools and be adaptable with tasks in a rapidly changing environment.

responsibilities:
- Preparing benchtop formulations including measuring and weighing ingredients, blending, and packing
- Performing analytical and sensory analysis on samples
- Maintaining documentation of incoming samples, samples prepared, samples in shelf life, as well as documenting test results
- Record and organize quality data in appropriate computer spreadsheets and report results to management
- Maintaining Shelf-Life Dates, sample labeling, sample preparation, and documentation.
- High school degree (minimum) with proven Math skills
- Proficient in English language both verbal and written
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Maintains the high level of confidentiality required in an R&D environment
- Collaborates well with others, be a self-starter, and can work independently on assigned tasks and projects
- Organizational skills and great attention to detail are needed
- This position requires an individual possessing initiative, a proactive approach, keen attention to detail, and excellent problem solving/trouble-shooting skills.
