Onsite Site Safety Manager needed for large-scale power generation construction project. This role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and a professional certification (CSP, ASP, CHST, etc.) alongside 10 years of construction safety experience to lead field-based regulatory compliance, safety auditing, and incident prevention across multiple project sites. This is a 12 month contract position.

responsibilities:
- Provide field-based oversight of construction activities across multiple projects to ensure health and safety excellence.
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety programs, legal requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Foster a culture of safety commitment and accountability among all project team members and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular safety observations, inspections, and audits at construction sites to identify compliance issues.
- Report findings to management and contractors to ensure prompt corrective actions are taken.
- Review contractor method statements, work plans, and safety plans to align them with project standards.
- Participate in pre-activity and coordination meetings to address health and safety concerns.
- Review investigations of serious incidents to identify causative factors and implement prevention strategies.
- Maintain safety performance metrics and generate daily reports on project status and safety observations.
- Partner with client construction teams and report directly to the Corporate Construction Safety Manager.
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA 1910 & 1926 regulations, NFPA, NEC, and ANSI standards as they apply to construction activities.
- Solid understanding of industrial hygiene at construction sites.

- 10 Years of relevant work experience in construction safety, and
- 5 years of supervisory experience in construction safety (or equivalent).
