A Millwright / Construction Coordinator is needed for a leading manufacturing organization outside of Evansville, IN. The Construction Coordinator/ Millwright will oversee equipment installation and modification projects from initial scope creation through final contract completion. You are responsible for managing general contractors and subcontractors while coordinating a wide array of industrial trades including robotics, HVAC, and utility distribution. Your primary goal is to ensure all installations-from conveyor systems to host machinery are delivered safely, on budget, and strictly according to technical specifications.
Candidates must have a industrial background with specific experience managing general contracts and large-scale equipment procurement. You should be proficient in AutoCAD and MS Project, with the flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts to accommodate non-production schedules. This role requires approximately 20% domestic travel. This is a contract role- slated to last at least a year, with a possibility for extension. Our client is only seeking local talent currently.

responsibilities:
- Lead the installation of complex systems, including robotic cells, transfer conveyors, cooling water, and utility distribution networks
- Manage initial negotiations with installation contractors and handle field orders or scope changes throughout the project lifecycle
- Direct the activities of machine vendors, shipping companies, and testing agencies to ensure seamless project integration and success
- Conduct on-site inspections to monitor plan compliance, safety standards, and the quality of work performed by subcontractors
- Track project financials and timelines, providing regular status reports to management regarding budget updates and schedule adherence
- Create detailed machine specifications and utilize AutoCAD to manipulate drawings and ensure precise installation layouts
