An Installation Leader is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Newton, NC area. This role is responsible for the end-to-end installation, design verification, and debugging of high-speed manufacturing machinery.

responsibilities:
- Leads the installation, start-up, and debugging of high-speed cable manufacturing process equipment.
- Coordinates tasks and workplans for multi-functional teams to ensure project schedules are met.
- Manages internal and external mechanical and electrical trades during equipment integration.
- Applies principles of mechanics, hydraulics, thermodynamics, and metallurgy to machine design and production.
- Verifies physical equipment builds and layouts against technical engineering drawings.
- Independently develops technical solutions and approaches with minimal direction.
- Collaborates with company engineers and vendors to resolve build discrepancies.
- Ensures strict adherence to safety standards, including OSHA, ANSI, and ASME.
- Supports the qualification and validation of new machinery in high-volume settings.
- Experience with high-speed cable manufacturing equipment is a plus but not required (jacketing, ribbon stranding, buffering).
- Experience with mechanical equipment design, install, start-up and debug in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Managing mechanical and electrical trades executing equipment install and debug.
- Skilled with use of design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor)
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with other engineering disciplines (electrical, civil, process, etc.)
- Candidate must have 5+ years demonstrated leadership experience with coordinating scheduling, workflows, etc.
