A Buyer Planner is needed for the world's largest standalone medical technology development company in the Memphis, TN area. The position requires an independent contributor to balance cost-efficiency with quality, manage supplier relationships, and coordinate cross-functionally to ensure seamless inventory movement.

responsibilities:
- Source, purchase, plan, and schedule the movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods through the production cycle.
- Identify material requirements by analyzing engineering and production specifications and schedules.
- Analyze procurement data to determine factors affecting prices and secure the lowest costs without compromising quality or reliability.
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and engineering teams to ensure the timely movement of materials and services.
- Compile and monitor information regarding market price trends and manufacturing process developments.
- Monitor supplier performance and collaborate on demand analysis and inventory planning.
- Manage assigned projects from design through implementation while adhering to established organizational policies.
- Act as an established individual contributor, working independently with general supervision on moderately complex assignments.
- Recommend enhancements to systems and processes to improve the overall effectiveness of the procurement area.
- Communicate frequently with internal stakeholders to share status updates and support informed decision-making.
- Communicates primarily and frequently with internal contacts.
- External interactions are less complex or problem solving in nature.
- Contacts others to share information, status, needs and issues in order to inform, gain input, and support decision making.
- Requires a University Degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or
- Advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
